ONE for the Ditch remain on course to win the title in Division A of the Blackdown Hills Skittles League after they beat Pinpricks by five pins.

It was their 15th win in 18 matches and enabled them to stretch their lead at the top of the table to eight points.

Hairy Ringers, in second place, dropped crucial points when they were held to a draw by bottom side Half Moon, both teams knocking 354 pins. Dam Busters also lost ground when they lost by seven pins against Brass Monkeys.

At the other end of the table, Floppers lost for the 12th time this winter when they went down to an agonising two-pin loss away to Pitch Plate Rejects who are lying sixth.

In Division B, Black Run Bandits stay top even though they did not play. Queens Knockers missed out on a chance of going top when they slumped to a 12-pin defeat away to Eezners.

Catherine Wheel, in third spot, closed the gap on Queens Knockers to only one point when they gained a 40-pin home victory over Flopper Knockers.
