EX-SERVICEMEN maintained their 100 per cent start to the winter with a 73-pin victory over new boys Nynehead Club in the Wellington Ex-Services Skittles League’s Chris Bullock Championship with Geoff Hamlyn again top scoring for the winners with 55.

It meant Ex-Servicemen kept top spot with a seven-point lead over second-placed Scuppas who gained a 35-pin win over defending champions Mowers who have now lost four games - two in succession.

Cottage Pies also maintained their unbeaten record - they have drawn one game - after they beat Relyon by 29 pins in the Gerald Thorne Championship.

It meant they stayed four point clear of second-placed Reservists who won by an impressive 83 pins against Fireguard A with Darren Sparks being the player of the match with a knock of 66.
