WELLINGTON’S first home game of the season against Barnstaple Town in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League last night (Wed) had to be abandoned early in the second half because of a floodlight failure.
The match was called off 15 minutes into the second half with neither side having managed to score.
Meanwhile, Wellington are due to play at home again on Saturday when they face Sidmouth Town in the second qualifying round of the FA Vase with £725 in prizemoney going to the winners (3p.m.).
Wellington Reserves play away to Upottery in the Premier Division of the Devon & Exeter League while Wellington A are home to Wyvern United in the Premier Division of the Taunton Saturday League.
Wellington Reds are home to Wellington Road Dons in the first division of the Saturday League.
Wellington Wildcats are away to Middlezoy Ladies in the first division of the Somerset Women’s League while Wellington Ladies are without a fixture.
Wellington side Moortown are away to Wyvern Wanderers in the first division of the Somerset Sunday League.
