SIX Rockwell Green shortmat players travelled to Corfe for a 4 mat friendly.

Getting things underway (Green names first): Cass, Reg & Bob were matched against Joan, June & David B. Corfe were on top from the word go, holding a 11—4 advantage after 9 ends. The Green did find a little bit of form on the last end with a 4 it was a little too late.  Corfe 11 the Green 8.

Joy, Graham & Mike found the mats to their liking against Joan, Christine & David K, only allowing Corfe 1 shot on 5 ends. The Green 13 Corfe 5    The customary break led to both sides agreeing that it is hard to entice new members into the game.

The Green kept the same line up while Corfe mixed & matched for the second half. Cass, Reg, & Bob met Alan, Daryl & David K. Corfe but suffered a 10-6 loss.

The last game to be played saw Joy, Graham & Mike meet Joan, Christine & David K. In an even contest the Green held a 1 shot lead after 7 ends  but pulled away on ends 8 & 9 with a 2 & 3. Corfe came back on the last end with a 3 but the Green held on for a 11—8 victory, winning 38-34 overall.
