Nynehead Club 292, King Pins 322: The Pins were helped on their way by Jordan Bryant who top scored with 44.. Jim Compton and Kev Cullen were top scorers for Nynehead Club with 40 pins apiece.

Odds and Ends 367, Scuppas 384:Scuppas won their opening match when they defeated Odds and Ends by 17 pins. Dave Squire top scored for Scuppas with 51, while top man for Odds and Ends was Rob Stanyard with 55.

Outsiders 347, All Stars 344: Outsiders narrowly defeated All Stars by three pins.. Veteran Gerry Larcombe was the star man for the home side with 53. Andy Chappell knocked a respectable 52.

United Services 392, WRFC. 406: The rugby boys’ impressive start to the season continued when they beat United Services by 14 pins. Steve Rea with 66 was Rugby Club’s top score which was also the highest away score of the week. Geoff Smith with 55 was top score for the home team.

GT Championship, Bell Green 368, Reservists 367: Bell Green defeated defending champions Reservists by a single pin. Jason Powell hit 60 to help see his team home. Phil Powell and skipper Darren Sparks shared top spot with 52 for the visitors.

Holywell Lake 393, Relyon 364: Skipper Steve Dowson set the example for the ‘Lakers with a fine 55 while Geoff Mould hit an impressive 60 for the visitors.

Home Guard 2 330, Oaks 308: Both teams found spare chances hard to come by, Macca Campbell hit the top score for Home Guard II with a hardworking 46, Tristan Gerrard went three better for the visitors 4.

Hot Shots 340, O. B. A. 322: Hot Shots share top spot in the division. Alan Brooks led the way for the home team with 48. Rob Billett hit a fine 50 for the visitors..
