WELLINGTON will be looking to end a run of four successive defeats when they play at home to Torpoint Athletic in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League on Saturday, December 21 (3p.m.).
Wellington have slipped from sixth to tenth in the league while Torpoint are in 19th place, with only pointless Welton Rovers below them.
The Wellington club will be raising money for the St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice at Saturday’s game. The town band will be playing carols before kick-off. There will be mulled cider and mince pies available.
Wellington will also be home on Boxing Day in another league match - against Buckland Athletic (1p.m.) while they are away to Ivybridge in the league on New Year’s Day (3p.m.).
Wellington have not won a game since they beat Ilfracombe Town 3-1 at home in mid-November.
Meanwhile, Wellington Reserves will be back in action in the Premier Division of the Devon & Exeter League on Saturday, December 21, when they play away to Feniton.
Feniton have a two-point lead at the top of the table while Wellington are down in tenth place, having won only two league matches since being promoted. Hemyock are home to St Martins Reserves in Division Four.
