WELLINGTON Reserves begin their build-up to the new football season with an away game against Ipplepen Athletic on Saturday (August 15).
All four of the Reserves’ warm-up matches are away with the game against Ipplepen, who play in South Devon Premier, kicking off at 3pm.
Sean Buttle will again be in charge of the side with Dave Darch his assistant. Ben Welch will be the coach while Mark Owen continues as team captain.
Buttle said: “Pre-season training has been a great success with good numbers – and a few new faces.
“It is shaping up to be a very youthful squad with high energy and lots of pace down the flanks and in attacking areas.
“We’re all looking forward to getting on with our friendlies and seeing if the promising signs from training are transferred onto the pitch.”
Other friendlies for the Reserves are: Friday, August 21, away v Bishops Lydeard Reserves (6.45pm); Saturday, August 29, away v Park United (North Devon Premier champions, 3pm); Saturday, September 5, away v Hemyock (3pm).
