WELLINGTON have two home games in the first division of the Toolstation League in the next four days.
They play highflyers Cheddar tonight (7.30) and Calne Town this Saturday (3.00).
“We’ve already played Cheddar and drew with them 1-1 in the first game of the season,” said Wellington boss Clive Jones. “They are very good side.”
Ian Bellringer, away working, and Jamie Fleet, knee injury, would both have missed the game at home to Radstock on Saturday if it had been played but will be available to play against Cheddar.
However James Clough, who has a foot injury, is still not fully fit and has been ruled out of tonight’s match.
Jones added: “Cloughie has class and we miss him. We have to play a different way without him.
“I keep in touch with him and he thinks he could be fit pretty soon. He is disappointed that he cannot play. We are looking to pick up points in these next two games and to move up the table.
“I’m looking to strengthen and to improve Wellington. I want to put a smile back on people’s faces.”
Wellington Reserves are away to Heavitree United Reserves in Division One of the Devon and Exeter League on Saturday while Hemyock are away to Chumleigh in Division Two.
Wellington Thirds are away Pinhoe Reserves in Division Seven.
Milverton Rangers are home to Morganians in Division Two of the Taunton Saturday League who are looking for sponsors of the league and cup competitions (if interested, contact fixture secretary Tony Good (01278 456129).
