WELLINGTON will be looking to avenge a home defeat by Weston super Mare when the sides meet again in the Bristol/Somerset Division of the West of England Cricket League on Saturday, July 27.

Weston proved far too good for Wellington when they met at the Playing Field in late May, bowling out the home side for 119 in 34 overs before knocking off the runs for the loss of only three wickets. Only four of Wellington's batters managed double figures.

Wellington, however, go into Saturday's game above their rivals in the table. Wellington are lying sixth, while Weston are one place below them, having gained five fewer points.

Top match of the day in the division is between third-placed Golden Hill and leaders Downend.

Midsomer Norton, in second place, are involved in another crucial game against Clevedon who are lying in fifth spot.

Downend maintained their place at the top last weekend by beating bottom side Taunton Deane by seven wickets whereas Midsomer NOrton's game at ILminster was cancelled because of bad weather which meant they only collected six points as opposed to Downend's 20.
