WELLINGTON Town opened the new season with a convincing 4-0 away win over Ruishton Rockets in Division Two of the Under 12 section in the Taunton & District Youth Football League .
Theo Windsor scored two first half goals including a 25 yard shot over the home keeper. Charlie McAlpine added a third early in the second half after intercepting a clearance and calmly slotting home.
Wellington's fourth goal in the 50th minute was the result of an intricate series of one-touch passes and perfectly timed movement which released Man of The Match Max Masland down the left who put in a perfect cross which winger Cass Letten was able to run onto and volley home.
The second division of the Under 12 League consists of eight teams, the others being Kingsdown Knights, Huish Tigers, Watchet Town, Bridgwater Wolves, Galmington Dragons, Ruishton Rockets and Staplegrove Saints.
