HEMYOCK travelled to West Hill for their opening game in the Under 12 sction of the Devon and Exeter Football League - and came away with all three points.

Following a cup win and promotion last season, Hemyock quickly took the lead through last winter's top scorer Jack Bright

Continued pressure saw Rohan Morris latch on to a through ball to calmy slot home Hemyock’s second following great work in midfield from Barbary-Spa.

West Hill got a goal back before halftime to set up an exciting second half. Hemyock continued where they left off seeing lots of the ball. It paid off when Bright got his second following some great footwork in the box.

It was the Bright & Lyus partnership that resulted in the fourth, Bright dropping deep before lobbing the defence to Lyus who took the ball in his stride and finished superbly.

Despite West Hill pulling a goal back, Hemyock always had control and came away 4-2 winners. Congratulations to Arthur Wilson who had a very strong debut at right back and also Player of the Match Will Bolger who was outstanding from start to finish.
