Wellington football club have been boosted after local house builder Boris Homes donated £455 to help the club.

The building firm which is creating new homes at Monument View in Wellington made the donation as part of its initiative to support communities near to its developments.

Chairman of Wellington AFC Mike Hall said: "We are very grateful to Bovis Homes for the support. Our commercial sponsors help us to provide football for all ages and play an important role in the local community."

Yvonne Truter from Bovis Homes said: “We’re delighted to support the club and the incredible opportunities it provides for the local community. Wellington AFC is a great facility and we’re pleased to be able to help so extra costs are not passed onto the club or players’ families.”
