THE annual Peter Bird Skittles Challenge Cup will be held for the 35th time this year.

Peter said: “Who would have thought that I would still be running my six-a-side skittles since Swallows won the first competition in 1988, captained by Vince Milton.

“Now we are running it for the 35th time, only not being unable to run it during Covid.

“The competition will again be held at the football club, to whom I am very thankful.”

This year, teams will again compete to be the best in Wellington.

Prize money will total £500, with £300 going to the winners and £150 to the runners up.

The team with the highest score in their first game will receive £50.

Only teams who return the entry form by 25th April will be entered into the draw.

The competition is limited to 32 teams.
