WELLINGTON A are second from bottom in the Premier Division of the West Country Drainage Services Taunton & District Saturday Football League after losing 3-1 at home to Bridgwater Wolves at the Playing Field.

It was their second defeat against Wolves in a fortnight, having lost 7-5 to their rivals in the Saturday League's Rowbarton Charity Cup at Court Fields School.

Wellington's scorer was Matt Brereton who was also Man of the Match and he was presented with his award by joint manager Matt Groves.

Wellington A have no match on Saturday, November 9, but return to action the following weekend when they play at home to struggling Minehead Reserves on the 3G pitch at Court Fields School (2.15).

Minehead are bottom of the table and collected only second point of the season when they drew 2-2 at home with reigning champions Redgate who are themselves near the foot of the Premier Division.

At the other end of the table, Taunton side Galmington are setting the pace and have opened up an eight-point lead at the top of the table, having dropped only three points in nine matches.

Their nearest rivals are Stogursey who have won four of their opening six matches and have three games in hand.
