ONE for the Ditch’s hopes of pulling off a double in the Blackdown Hills Skittles League were dashed when they lost by 31 pins to Division A rivals Dam Busters.

One for the Ditch went into the tie topping the division while Dam Busters were down in seventh place.

Hairy Ringers were 13-pin winners against The Lamb Chaps while Jacks of all Trades gained a convincing 39-pin victory over Floppers Knockers.

Queens Knockers, however, lost out by 25 pins against Right up your Alley.

Meanwhile, there were some close matches in the first round of the Goodman Cup. Brass Monkeys beat Eezners by three pins while Black Run Bandits, top of Division B, and Pinpricks drew with the match going to an extra hand with Pinpricks coming out on top.
