BOTH Wellington RFC and Winscombe were going in search of a third win of the Regional 2 Tribute South West campaign on the weekend.
With two wins and two defeats apiece, the pair were evenly matched on paper for their clash at The Athletic Ground on Saturday, October 12.
The away team came out on top, leading 25-14 at the break and then going on to win 37-21 after the final whistle.
This result leaves Welly in ninth in the standings whilst Winscombe are up in fourth of the division that consists of 12 teams.
Cullompton, Newton Abbot and North Petherton all below Wellington having won just one game each whereas Topsham are flying high at the summit. The club from East Devon are the only one still undefeated, winning five from five, securing a try bonus point in every game and amassing over 300 total points thus far.
Next up for Wellington is a trip to seventh-placed Teignmouth and also on Saturday 19, Winscombe host third-placed Crediton, another side on three wins.
