WELLINGTON face a tough rugby match at home to second-placed Tiverton in Regional Two South West on Saturday, November 16 (2.30p.m.).

“Hopefully, we can get a result with the crowd behind us,” said Wellington’s head coach Graham Dawe. “I thought we gave a spirited display in our last match (lost 26-17 at North Petherton), but we left ourselves with too much to do in the second half.”

Two of Wellington’s most influential players, Will Hodgson and Cam Venn, are expected to return after missing the match at Petherton.

Wellington have slipped to ninth in the table following two successive losses.

Wellington 2nd XV, lying third in Counties Three Somerset South, play away to Somerton who are down in tenth spot. Wellington beat fourth-placed Tor 52-27 at the Athletic Ground last time out.

Meanwhile Wiveliscombe, much-improved compared to last season, play away to Bideford in Counties One Western West. The North Devon outfit are having a nightmare of a season and have yet to pick up a point following eight successive losses.

Top of the table Wiveliscombe 2nd XV, who have won all of their games, are away to Yeovil 2nds in Counties Four Somerset South.
