WELLINGTON’S vice-captain George Hodgson makes a surprise appearance - on the wing - for the club’s crucial rugby game at home to North Petherton in Regional Two South West tomorrow afternoon (Sat, 2.30).
Hodgson, who normally plays in the centre, has been out of action since before Christmas with a knee injury although he has been training.
Wellington, still without injured skipper Danny Lee, will be captained by Ollie Price as they try to ease their relegation worries. Petherton are lying seventh with 32 points from 17 fixtures, and have one more point than Wellington who have also played 17 matches.
Teignmouth, in tenth spot, are away to Cullompton (9th), Truro (11th) entertain Tiverton (3rd) while Newton Abbot (bottom) are home to Winscombe (6th).
Cam Venn also returns to Wellington’s side along with Toby Redwood, but Ash Harney is still sidelined through injury.
Eighty members of Wellington’s Past Players Association will be sitting down for lunch before the game.
