ROCKWELL Green Shortmat bowlers travelled to Hemyock to take part in their charity day in aid for SURE - in a competition they won last year.

A total of ten teams took part, split into two groups playing four matches each . Winkleigh and the Green were level on matches won. so it came down to shots acquired.

Winkleigh pipped the Green by one shot, thus taking the trophy, leaving the Green as runners up. This was a fine effort by the Green as they were competing against teams from all over Devon and Somerset.

Green team members were Brian Hookway, Martin Procter ,Mike Russell & Reg Deem. More than £500 was raised.
