IT WAS a clash of the titans in the Wellington Pool League in a match which saw 3 eight ball clearances, 2 from Gary Newall of Mutts Nutts, giving him 5 so far this season, and 1 from Aiden Hodge of Pot Blacks, his second of the season.
In the close match, Liam Phillips won all his game and Andy Dart took the final game decider to take Mutts Nutts’ unbeaten crown giving Pot Blacks an 8-7 win to remain top of the division.
SS Squad are just 2 points behind second place with their 9-6 win against Changing Lanes with Darren Copp knocking in a total clearance.
Matt Bell of Changing Lanes also potted an eight ball clearance while Pocket Rockets enjoyed d a good night with Cameron Tracey and Guy Goodwin scoring hat tricks in a 9-6 win over Snipers 9-6.
Richard Johnson, Morgan Williams and Dave Darch won all their games to beat Row’s Rebels 11-4. Steve Lippett took 3 from 3 for Here for the Beer in their 10-5 victory over Old Blues.
Despite a hat trick from Mark Durston of the Jets, it was Two Tees who won 10-5 with Tom Howard winning all his games.
