WELLINGTON fought out a splendid 3-3 home draw against Wembdon Dragons in Division Two of the Under 14 section in the Taunton & District Youth Football League.

Welly looked certain to take the lead on 13 minutes, only for a Finn Hayward header to be sensationally denied by the Wembdon keeper.

But Town's pressure was rewarded on 27 minutes; Ollie Bradfords thunderous volley from outside the area giving the hosts a deserved lead.

Welly doubled their lead just before the break; Fletcher Langley rifling home a second on the 32 minute mark.

But a change of ends seemed to be the undoing of Town, who conceded two quick goals inside the first 10 minutes of the restart.

However,it was Welly you continued to look the more likely to grab the game's next goal; Jack Fowler putting in another impressive shift in the heart of Town's midfield.

And after Langley was denied by the crossbar on 46 minutes, Archie Winter stabbed home to put the hosts in front once again following another excellent Sam Alderman free-kick with 15 minutes left. And with victory in their sights, it was the Dragons who would have the final, agonising say, a corner in the dying minutes resulting in a 70th minute equaliser.
