DESPITE being short sided, Pocket Rockets showed it’s always better to play in the Wellington Pool League than cancel.

Barry Winter and Guy Goodwin both scored hat tricks to earn their team a 9-6 win against Here for the Beer. Two Tees remain top of the yellow division with James Green and Martin Robert’s winning all their games in an 11-4 success against Rows Rebels 11-4.

Tony Hartnel won all his games for Old Blues who beat The Jets 10-5.

Mutts Nutts stay top of the Red Division with Butch Cobbett making a total clearance and a hat trick from Bob Deville securing a 9-6 win against Legends. SS Squad hold onto their unbeaten crown -  thanks to Craig Wilkinson's three wins in beating Pot Blacks 8-7.

Mark Kerslake of Changing Lanes  potted an 8 ball clearance, but in a final game decider it was Snipers who took the 8-7 win for their first of the season.

Meanwhile, in the semi-finals of the Summer Team KO Cup, Pot Blacks will play SS Squad while Mutts Nutts have been drawn against Changing Lanes, on Thursday, August 15. The final will be played on Finals Night.
