A FIRST HALF hat-trick from Fletcher Langley and a second half hat-trick from Jack Bates - both with player of the match performances - provided the platform for a comprehensive victory for Wellington Town away to Victoria Park Rangers in Division 2 of the Under 14 section in the Taunton and District Youth League.
Welly, with good movement and passing from the outset, went ahead after 18 minutes; Langley's first finding the top corner after an excellent strike from the edge of the area.
Town doubled their lead through Archie Winter on 21 minutes before Langley got his second to put Town 3-0 up. Rangers pulled a goal back in the 32nd minute after a rare attack on goal, only for Langley to restore the advantage and complete his hat-trick.
.An early second half penalty from Jack Bates put Town 5-1 up, before Bates grabbed his second with a tap in on 38 minutes. Town, now dominating all aspects of the game went 7-1 up in the 46th minute, as Jayden Glynn opened his Wellington account. Bates completed his second-half hat-trick moments later with a composed finish.
VPR pulled another goal back in the 55th minute to make it 8-2. Red Beasley-Stones scored again for Town before Winter rounded off the scoring.
