WELLINGTON Ladies were beaten 6-0 at home in the Somerset County Women’s League KO Cup, by Nailsea United Ladies who play two divisions above them.

All things considered, Wellington did well to restrict the visitors to six goals with the defensive line staying high and catching them offside on numerous occasions.

The first half ended 4-0 and Wellington were determined to improve after the break which they did.

With a few positional changes, it led to more runs towards the opposition’s goal and Nailsea only managed to add two more to their tally. Player-of-the-match was Charlotte Holder for her many amazing slide tackles and her leading of the back line.
