SOMERSET and West Indian bowling legend Joel Garner will be returning to the Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton on Wednesday, August 21. 

'Big Bird' as he is known by those who witnessed his bowling achievements during the ‘Glory Years’ when the Cidermen were the one-day kings and lifted five trophies in as many years, will be the very special guest at a curry buffet evening meal after which he will take part in a Q&A session. 

An Evening With Joel Garner will be taking place in the County Room of the Atkinson Pavilion and will start at 7pm with the doors opening an hour earlier.

Tickets cost £25 for members and £30 for non members while in addition to which there are a limited number of VIP tickets available, at a cost of £55 each which includes a drinks reception with the legend in the Long Room prior to the event.

The dress code for the evening is smart/ casual, the bar will be open for the duration of the evening, with parking available on a first come, first served basis. A vegetarian curry option will be available.
