JEWSON Western League football club Wellington have already completed some tough training sessions under manager Richard Cherry.
The squad has been training on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and on Saturday, June 29, have an inter-club game against their Reserves at The Castle School, Taunton (2p.m.).
The team will train again next week before playing another friendly at The Castle School on Saturday, July 6 (opposition tbc).
Wellington's first pre-season warm-up match will be away to Somerset County League outfit Chard Town on Wednesday, July 10. They are away to Minehead the following Wednesday and on Saturday, July 20, have a friendly against Newton Abbot Spurs (at Devon FA HQ).
They will end their build-up to the new season with an away fixture against Bridgwater and Taunton College on Tuesday, July 27.
They will have one more training session before they play their opening match in the Premier Division away to Ilfracombe Town on Saturday, July 27. Wellington face playing at least ten successive away games before their first home match - against Barnstaple Town on Wednesday, September 18.
Wellington will be looking to improve on their 15th place of last winter when Cherry was in charge for the first time.
