WELLINGTON play their first pre-season friendly against Southern League outfit Tavistock at The Castle School, Taunton, on Saturday, July 6 (1.15p.m.).

Richard Cherry will again be in charge of Wellington who finished 15th in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western League last season.

He is hoping for a better position this season, although Wellington will come up against many sides who pay their players more.

However, Wellington improved considerably after Christmas last season and beat the champions Helston 1-0 at home in April.
