AS Wellington AFC prepare for their first pre-season friendly this coming Saturday, they have also learned their opponents in both the FA Cup and FA Vase.
The club have been drawn at home to Buckland Athletic in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup on Saturday, August 3rd.
The tie will have to be moved to an alternative venue because of cricket on the Playing Field.
The winners will be away to Bideford or Bridgwater United in the preliminary round on Saturday, August 17th.
In the FA Vase, Wellington have a bye in the first qualifying round and have been drawn at home to either Sidmouth Town or Torrington in the second qualifying round on Saturday, September 21st.
Meanwhile, the first team host Tavistock on the 3G pitch at Taunton’s Castle School tomorrow, kick-off 1.15pm.
Other friendlies, all away, are: Wednesday, July 10th – Chard Town; Wednesday, July 17th – Minehead; Saturday, July 20th – Newton Abbot Spurs (at Devon FA HQ); Tuesday, July 23rd – Bridgwater and Taunton College.
The first match of the season in the Western League premier division is at Ilfracombe Town on Saturday, July 27th.
Wellington AFC are holding their annual meeting in the clubhouse on Thursday, July 11th, starting at 8pm.
