SS SQUAD lost their unbeaten record at the hands of Red Division leaders Mutts Nutts in the Wellington and District Summer Pool League, with Ed Williams knocking in a total clearance and Luke Veale winning all his games to win the game 8-7.
It means that Mutts Nutts have now opened up a five-point lead over their rivals, both teams having played the same number of games.
Ryan Redwood and Mark Williams both potted eight ball clearances and a hat trick from Ryan secured an 8-7 win for Pot Blacks against Snipers who are bottom, having won only one game so far this summer. Pot Blacks are lying in third place, just off the pace being set by the leaders. In the yellow division hat tricks from Gary Grensted and Marc Baker saw Rows Rebels beat Pocket Rockets 10-5. Kevin Denslow of Here for the Beer won all his games giving them a 10-5 win against The Jets. Old Blues had a close match against division leaders Two Tees but did enough to take an 8-7 win.
However, Two Tees stay top of the table, with a five-point lead over second-placed Old Blues. Here for the Beer are in third spot, six points behind Old Blues.
