WELLINGTON are forced to field an under strength side for their FA Cup extra preliminary round tie against Hengrove Athletic at Witheridge in Devon on Saturday.

“We knew this when we entered the cup,” said Jones last night. “We thought we might try to play it at the Playing Field but it’s not been possible. Instead we’ve got the agreement of Hengrove and the FA to play it at Witheridge.”
Unfortunately, Wellington will be without the likes of skipper Tom Ellis and fellow defender Jack Porter, both injured in training, and former assistant player-manager Tim Legg who is unavailable for the club’s opening four games because of his commitment with the youth set-up at Exeter City.
