STOGUMBER beat Sampford Arundel by 26 runs in a top of the table clash to go 51 points clear of their rivals in Division Three of the West Somerset Cricket League.

After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Stogumber scored 184 all out with opener Elias Hayes hitting 48 and C Jenkins 42. Archie Lyon-Taylor snapped up 4-43, Oscar Milton 3-50 and Thomas Gendall 2-51.

Sampford, who have now lost three of their games this season, scored 158-9 in their 40 overs with opener Lyon-Taylor run out for 29 and Rob Chave making 26.

Minehead are up to third spot after winning by 56 runs away to Cannington. The seasiders scored 153-9 with Athul Soman scoring 45 late runs. Robert Marcus Coombs took 3-31.

In reply Cannngton struggled to 97 all out with George King scoring 17 and Renjeesh Krishnan taking 4-16, Jithin Rajan 2-21 and Harry Swann 2-20.

Wiveliscombe won by 18 runs in a low scoring game at home against Bishops Hull with Nathan Pincombe taking 3-10, while Dan Rottenbury slamming 177 not out for Fitzhead who beat Cutcombe by four wickets. Matt Matravers scored 97 for Cutcombe.
