OVERNIGHT closures are set to take place on the M5 this weekend due to essential concrete repairs between Cullompton and Wellington.

From Friday, February 21, the M5 southbound between junction 28 and 26 will be closed for four nights from 9pm and 6am. Traffic will be diverted via the A38 and B3181 roads.

The exit slip road at M5 junction 27 going southbound will also be closed from 9pm on February 21, until 6am on Monday, February 24. Traffic will be diverted via junction 28 (Cullompton) during the day, and via the A38 and B3181 overnight due to the above closures.

The weekend roadworks involve essential repairs to the concrete that makes up the base layer of the M5 around junction 27 near Willand.
