Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 8pm August 9 to 6am August 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 exit and entry slip closed for surveys, diversion for exit slip via, junction 25 and return, diversion for entry slip via, junction 27 and return.

M5, from 8pm August 7 to 6am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26, lane closures for surveys.

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm August 12 to 6am August 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 24 to junction 25, lane closure for Technology inspections.

M5, from 8pm August 12 to 6am August 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 to junction 25, lane closure for Technology inspections.

M5, from 9pm August 14 to 6am August 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 to 26 - lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 8pm August 15 to 6am August 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 exit and entry slip closed for surveys, diversion for exit slip via, junction 27 and return, diversion for entry slip via, junction 25 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
