A free exhibition opens in Taunton on August 12, detailing the trials and tribulations of the people who produced millions of charts for the Allies during World War II, including an astounding 450,000 for D-Day.
Visitors will be able to explore over 30 informative panels that tell the story of this monumental effort.
The exhibition also includes a collection of fascinating artefacts and books that provide deeper insights into the challenges and achievements of these wartime cartographers.
This exhibit offers a unique opportunity to learn about an often-overlooked aspect of the war and the critical role these charts played in the Allied victory.
The event is to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day, and is being held in Taunton Library between the 12-24 August 2024
