LANGFORD Budville Church of England Primary School hosted its annual Apple Day with apple-based activities for their students.
Apple Day was held on Thursday, October 24, treating the children to fruit sketching, baking, poetry, and apple juicing..
The students have collected the apples over the last few weeks, travelling around the community to gather the fruit.
Local residents have also been incredibly generous donating apples.
Many community members also came along to Apple Day and took part in juicing apples, which ended in everyone toasting with the apple juice!
To complete the school’s harvest celebrations, the children then treated their families and carers to a harvest service led by Reverend Helene Stainer in St. Peter's Church, Langford Budville.
The children shared poetry, their artwork and historical harvest tales of the local area.
The children and congregation celebrated through songs and prayers, with the service ending with the singing of school's song that supports its Christian vision, 'Roots to Grow, Wings to Fly.'
