A TOWN Trail is proving popular with people in Wellington.

The trail covers a 3.5km loop walk around some of the town's historic points of interest including St John's Church, The Basins and Wellesley Cinema.

A Wellington Town Council spokesman, speaking on the authority's social media page, said: "Our trail can be enjoyed by all ages as last year we launched a companion children's scavenger hunt to help engage the little ones along the walk.

"The hunt includes asking children to find shapes, count, and read signs on the walk."

Both leaflets can be picked up for free at Wellington Museum or the town council offices on the first floor of 28 Fore Street.
