TAUNTON Brewhouse has announced a spectacular winter season filled with the very best in comedy, drama, music, cinema, and family entertainment.
The theatre’s popular Brewhaha Comedy Nights are set to light up the stage once again, showcasing a mix of seasoned pros and rising stars. With top comedians including Shaparak Khorsandi, Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Mark Watson, and Lucy Porter, there’s a perfect blend of sharp wit and hilarious stories.
For those with more alternative tastes, one of Britain’s most beloved entertainers – Basil Brush – returns with a raunchy, adults-only show, and the cast of Sh!t-faced Shakespeare promise a hilariously boozy adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The drama lineup brings a dynamic mix of compelling stories and thought-provoking themes. The Long Run delivers a tender story of human connection and long-distance running, while The Fallout explores love, conflict, and space travel in a compelling narrative.
Fresh from a Brits Off Broadway run, The Brief Life and Mysterious Death of Boris III, King of Bulgaria tells the raucous and poignant tale of underdogs outwitting the Nazis; meanwhile, Why I Stuck a Flare Up My A**e for England hilariously recounts the viral moment from the EURO 2020 final, and Bright Places adds a touch of 90s pop to a three-woman show about multiple sclerosis.
For families, there’s a wide range of shows to entertain children of all ages. Science Museum Live ignites curiosity with hands-on experiments, while the Trash Test Dummies bring an epic hour of slapstick comedy and mind-blowing circus skills. A modern retelling of Little Red Riding Hood also offers a delicious twist on a classic tale, and little ones will particularly enjoy The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Dear Zoo, and The Amazing Bubble Man.
