CELEBRATE the best of British food this autumn with a special event at Sheppy’s Cider Farm near Wellington next month.
To mark British Food Fortnight 2024, Sheppy’s is hosting an exclusive cheese and cider tour on Friday, September 27.
Join David and Louisa Sheppy for a guided tour of the farm’s picturesque orchards and go behind the scenes in the vat houses where Sheppy’s ciders are fermented and aged.
The experience includes a visit to the press house, offering an opportunity to learn about traditional cider-making methods.
British Food Fortnight runs from September 20 to October 6, making this the perfect time to savour the flavours of the season.
This event is a celebration of local food and drink, shining a spotlight on the joys of savoring fresh, seasonal, and regionally produce.
Guests will delve into the 200-year history of Sheppy’s Cider, exploring the heritage of this Somerset brand in their rural museum.
The tour ends with a fully guided tasting of five of Sheppy’s award-winning ciders, each expertly paired with five local cheeses.
