COURT Fields School is working hard to aid Year 11 students and parents in the run up to the exam period and for their academic journeys ahead.

The school recently hosted a well-attended parents evening to advise guardians on how to better support their children in preparation for their Pre-Public Examinations (PPE’s), or mock exams, prior to their GCSE’s.

The evening included plenty of conversations about revision and where to find valuable information on the school website for Year 11 pupils.

A representative for Court Fields School said: “It was great to see so many parents and carers come in and see their child’s respective teachers, to get an understanding of what is happening in their subjects and how best to support their child in preparation for the upcoming PPE’s, as well as the rest of the academic year.

“Parents and carers taking an active role in their children's preparation is key to their success, and seeing so many arrive and have those useful conversations was very encouraging.

“Pupils taking on board and actively listening to their teacher’s guidance and advice was also positive to see.

“Thanks to all the parents and carers that turned up, including those who couldn’t make it but still wanted to be kept up to date about their child's progress.”

Based in Mantle Street, Court Fields School teaches pupils from ages 11 to 16 and does not contain a sixth form.
