SEVERAL windows at a Wellington hairdresser have been smashed in an overnight attack.
Locals believe a man used a hammer to smash the windows on the west side of Charlie Brown’s Hair & Beauty salon on Lancer Court On Tuesday, April 8.
The shop’s shutters had been down at the time of the incident and no further damage was caused.

The owner, Ian Crawford, reported that no property had been stolen.
He said: “I wouldn’t say we’re shocked, I’d just say ****** off, excuse my French.”
A resident of Lancer Court, who has chosen to remain anonymous, said they overheard four loud bangs at the time of the incident was reported.
They said: “It was so loud, honestly.
“I didn’t want to open the door, so I ran upstairs with my phone, and I called the police straight away.
“I left it about an hour before I went out to check and all four windows had been smashed.”
The resident says they believe several people fled the scene after the incident.

They said: “I heard voices, so there was definitely more than one.
“Unfortunately, when I ran upstairs to look out of my window, all I could see was feet.”
In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: “We’re investigating after a window was smashed at a business premises in Lancer Court, Wellington, at about 11.30pm on Tuesday (8 April).
“Officers have carried out house-to-house enquiries and will review CCTV from around the area.
“If anyone has information about this incident, or who was responsible, please contact us online or on 101 using the reference number 5225100411.”
The Charlie Brown’s owner said he’d thought the window would be repaired by the end of the day on Wednesday, April 9. As of this morning, April 10, the windows remain in disrepair.
