WELLINGTON Rugby Club’s Under 13s and Under 16s started their pre-season training at the Athletic Ground on Thursday of last week

The Under 13s had more than 20 players and welcomed a few new players to the fold. Going forward they will be training at 6pm on Tuesdays on a regular basis between now and when the season gets under way

The Under 16s had a few Court Fields School students away on work experience but still had 18 training, including one new player.

They will be training at 7pm on Thursdays throughout the summer.

All age groups are keen to welcome new players for what promises to be a fantastic 150th Anniversary year for the Wellington club. If you are interested in joining either turn up at training or contact us via the "Wellington RFC Minis & Juniors" Facebook page.

If you fancy giving rugby a try as well as coming training there's a Bristol Bears Player Development Camp at the Club on Monday, August 19 www.rugbycamps.co.uk/bristol to book.

Meanwhile, Bailey Lee has been presented with his Most Improved Player of last season award by Mark Allder.
