WELLINGTON will be looking to maintain their fine start to the season when they play away to Brixham in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League on Saturday, August 10.
Richard Cherry's boys have played three away matches, winning two and losing one.
They opened the season with a splendid 2-1 away victory over Ilfracombe Town in the league but lost 3-0 away to Nailsea & Tickenham four days later.
But they bounced back to beat Buckland Athletic 1-0 in the extra preliminary round of the Emirates FA Cup last Saturday, collecting £1,125 along the way.
Brixham began the season with a 1-1 away draw against Saltash United in the league and followed this with a 3-0 away victory over Torpoint, They also won in the FA Cup at the same stage as Wellington, beating Saltash for the second time this season 2-0 at home.
Brislington, Street and Bridgwater United are the early leaders of the Premier Division, opening the season with two victories. Brislington are tops by virtue of a superior goal difference.
Wellington also have a match in the league next Tuesday - away to Barnstaple Town.
