WELLINGTON Bowling Club’s Tigers were on their home green this week playing in the Exeter Over 60s League against Chardstock A - and they went on to gain a comfortable victory following some excellent play.

Mike Connor, Eddie Dilley and skip Henry Richbell started off their game slowly. After four ends the teams were level at two shots each but after this the Tigers got down to some serious bowling.

They picked up a five in the sixth end and just to add insult to injury they grabbed another five shots in the 16th.

The game ended with a very comfortable win for Wellington, the scoreline of 21 shots to 9 reflecting their dominance throughout the match.

Derek Vile, Ian Hollingsworth and skip David Beaudet were losing early on in their game. They were 1-0 down after the first end. But they put all their troubles behind them to win easily 24 shots to 12 which included a cheeky five in the fourth end.

This was a good game which was enjoyed by everyone but it was the Wellington Tigers who were the victors, winning by 45 shots to Chardstock's 21.
