DARREN Sparks and Kevin Sedgebeer are the only two players who are left in both the singles and pairs competitions in the Wellington Ex-Services Skittles League.
They play in the Cyril Hicks Singles Finals Night at the Rockwell Green Institute on Thursday, April 24, and will pair up together to play in the Harry Dowson Pairs Finals Night at the Conservative Club, on the downstairs alley, the following night.
However, the pair face still opposition in both competitions, particularly in the singles where there are former winners who are in good form.

Harry Dawson Pairs Finals Night, April 25, 8p.m. (playing order to be decided on the night): Lee Ellis and Paul Robinson, Liam Desborough and Tyler Cox, Phil Powell and Glen Escott, Edd Chivers and Alex Govier, Darren S$parks and Kevin Sedgebeer.
Meanwhile, both Reservists and Holywell Lake can close the gap on Gerald Thorne Championship leaders Cottage Pies if they win their matches on Friday, April 18. They are six points behind the Pies with a game in hand.
Reservists are home to OBA at the Rockwell Green Institute while Holywell Lake entertain Hot Shots at the Vic (downstairs). The Pies are without a match but still have five games to play.
