REBELS gained a comfortable victory over Bell Green in Wellington Ex-Services Skittles League’s Gerald Thorne Championship at the Cottage Inn, winning by 53 pins in their back match.

Jon Sellick was the player of the match, his 54 helping Rebels to a strong score. Julian Jones played well for the Bee Gees with 52, but the away side found the alley harder going as they saw the game get away from them. The win sees Rebels leapfrog Bell Green in the table, moving to fifth place on 24 points.

Rebels face another tough match on Friday, March 7, when they play Reservists at the Cottage Inn. Reservists are one of three teams on 30 points in second place, along with Holywell Lake and Home Guard II.
