BELL Green will be looking to consolidate fifth place in Wellington Ex-Services Skittles League’s Gerald Thorne Championship when they play a back match against Rebels at the Cottage Inn on Friday, February 28.
The Green have at least one match in hand on all the teams above them in this division but cannot improve their fifth place if they do win against Rebels.
The first round of the Harry Dowson Pairs Cup also continues on the same evening with matches being played at the Victoria Inn and the RG Institute.
Meanwhile, leaders Ex-Servicemen play fourth-placed WRFC in the Chris Bullock Championship at the Cottage Inn on Thursday, March 6.
Second-placed Scuppas are away to Outsiders while the reigning champions Mowers play away to All Stars.
In the Gerald Thorne Championship the following evening, top of the table Cottage Pies will be out to strengthen their position when they play against Hot Shots at the Conservative Club (downstairs).
The Pies are six points clear of Home Guard II who have an interesting game against Bell Green at the football Club. Holywell Lake, who have the same number of points as Home Guard, are without a match. At the other end of the table, bottom side Report Centre A play Oaks at the White Horse.
