WELLINGTON’S rugby match at home to North Petherton in Regional Two South West is expected to go ahead this afternoon (Sat, 2.30p.m.) despite the bad weather.

Ground staff have worked throughout the morning spiking the pitch.

It is an important game for both sides who are hovering just above the relegation zone, with only one point separately the teams.

However, Wellington AFC’s three senior matches this afternoon have already been called off.

Wellington’s first team were due to play at Ivybridge, while the Reserves should have played at home to Crediton United. Wellington A were due to play away to Wyvern United.
