WELLINGTON go into Friday night's (Nov 22) Somerset Cup quarter-final away to Burnham on Sea with the strong possibility of being without skipper Danny Lee.

Lee was sent off early in the home match against Tiverton on Saturday for an alleged 'elbow' and club secretary Ashley Colman said this week: "Much will depend on the referee's report but I doubt whether he will play."

Wellington crashed to a big 66-10 loss against Tiverton after playing for most of the game with only 14 men.

Head coach Graham Dawe said afterwards: "We had four or five players unavailable and lost Johnny Clist before the match with a leg injury. We quickly lost Liam Phillips (injured) and Danny.”

"We had a lot of catching up to do very early on in the game. It was always going to be difficult."

"Although Burnham play a league below us, we know they have a very good set of forwards."

Wellington’s defeat was their sixth of the season in Regional Two South West and leaves them struggling in tenth place in the table. Tiverton’s success enabled them to stay second behind leaders Topsham.

There are no league matches this weekend which means no games for Wellington 2nd XV and Wiveliscombe's two senior sides.
