WELLINGTON will be looking to stretch their unbeaten run to 12 matches when they play at home to Truro in Western Counties West on Saturday (2.30).
With six matches to play, Wellington are still in with a chance of finishing in an end of season play-off – or, indeed, winning the championship.
Despite their impressive form, Wellington are still lying in fourth place, nine points behind leaders Sidmouth who have a tough away match against third-placed St Austell this weekend.
The crunch for Wellington comes on Saturday week when they play at home to Crediton who are lying second, with seven more points than their rivals.
It is so close between the top four teams that it could all change over the weekend.
Wellington gained a fine 15-8 away victory over Tiverton on Saturday - and coach Allyn Chetland said: “It was always going to be a difficult game for us. But the lads were very impressive and I thought we fully deserved our win.”
Danny Lee and Nev Pitman are both unavailable for Saturday’s game but Wellington have options with both Will Brewer and Ash Harney back in contention. Rob Hooper could also come off the bench.
Wellington will be looking to pull off another double against Truro, having beaten the Cornish side 43-12 away earlier this season.
“I reckon that to be our best away display of the season,” added Chetland.
