STORM Darragh wiped out virtually the entire programme of weekend games in the Jewson Western Football League.

Wellington's match at Brislington was one of the fixtures which was blown off course.

In the end only two games were played - one in the premier and the other in Division One.

Portishead Town were 6-1 home winners against Okehampton Argyle in the top division, while Keynsham Town slumped 6-2 at home to Cadbury Heath in Division One.

It meant that Brixham AFC stayed two points clear of the field in the Premier Division, while Hallen remained five points ahead of nearest rivals Calne Town in Division One.

Saturday proved a blank day in the three divisions of the Taunton & District Saturday League with no games played in the Premier, first or second divisions.

Trinity Rangers beat Hulan 1-0 away in the quarter-finals of the Somerset Sunday League's Gardner Cup while Wyvern Wanderers were 5-2 home winners over Spirit FC in the Somerset Sunday Challenge Cup.

Wellington side Moortown were due to play away to AF Dunster in the first division of the Somerset Sunday League but this, too, was called off because of galeforce winds.
